I read an edit on TVTropes by you that said that one of the Avengers tie-in comic books revealed Peggy Carter was still alive. Which book is it?
It’s the main movie storybook that reveals this fact, though said scene was cut from the movie, unfortunately. Otherwise, in the 616 continuity, Peggy’s unfortunately dead. (Of course, she died right at the time of the release of “Captain America: The First Avenger”. Unfortunate timings….)
What would make The Avengers movie a disapointment in your mind?
If Cap died and the Avengers ended up failing in their mission to save the world. (That’s not gonna happen.)
The Right Partner
If you know me, you know that I’m a sucker for not only having close friends, but also for having a meaningful relationship with a significant other. Something about having that kind of companionship and someone to talk to other than family is an idea that makes my heart warm on the inside. Again, believe it or not. I did have somewhat of a meaningful relationship, and yes, again in high school. Twice, in fact.
(For the intents and purposes of this post, I’m keeping their names anonymous. Don’t ask about them either.)
First time was pretty darned weird, and pretty much the highlight of it was Valentines’ Day 2007(?) where I gave this girl flowers and a card. Nothing came of it shortly after.
Second time was had a lot more meaning there, and I had something going with her, even inviting her to my birthday in July 2007. We even embraced on more than one occasion. Sadly, though, we pretty much drifted apart as she moved away to another school, though when I last met her, we were on good terms.
Nowadays, I’m surrounded with friends who do have meaningful relationships and it seems more and more of the stuff I watch and read all feature characters who’ve found that special someone. It’s given me hope in the fact that I may find that right partner for me when the time to dance comes. For me, beauty is a non-factor when it comes to that right partner, just as long as she’s a wonderful person is on the inside. I’m an eternal optimist, and I’m optimistic that one day, that right partner will come for me.
